La sentenza si è pronunciata sulla responsabilità di un primario quotidiano nazionale, accertando la responsabilità dell’editore e dei giornalisti per l’ipotesi di responsabilità per l’attribuzione della qualità di indagato per reati diversi dall’unico effettivamente ipotizzato (prima della completa archiviazione) a carico della parte assistita dallo Studio, in collaborazione con un altro professore universitario.
In parziale riforma della sentenza di primo grado, è stata accertata la responsabilità anche per tale profilo, oltre che per la pubblicazione di notizie tratte da uno scritto anonimo, come tale non verificabile, già affermata nel precedente grado di giudizio.

The ruling addressed the liability of a leading national newspaper, establishing the liability of the publisher and of the journalists for attributing to a person the status of a suspect for some alleged crimes which were different from the only alleged crime for which the investigation had started (before the case was completely dismissed) against the party assisted by the firm, in collaboration with another university professor.
In a partial reversal of the first-instance ruling, the liability of the newspaper was also established for this reason, in addition to the liability for publishing news taken from an anonymous source, and therefore unverifiable, already established in the previous instance.
